Lehmann To Sign A New Deal, Agathe Trial Over

Jens Lehmann is set to agree terms on a new 12-month contract with Arsenal. His current contract ends at the end of this season. "We are not far [from an agreement]," Arsene Wenger confirmed.Bolton boss Sam Allardyce is ready to give French winger Didier Agathe a trial after he failed to impress Arsene Wenger. Agathe has been training with Arsenal for the past few days but recently learned that Arsene Wenger will not offer him a contract and he is now due to arrive at Bolton today.
In other news, Everton are trying to sign Mart Poom(right) after they were given permission to sign an emergency goalkeeper on loan. With Nigel Martyn and Richard Wright still recovering from injuries and Iain Turner suspended after being awarded a red card at the weekend went for the safe approach instead of putting 19-year-old John Ruddy in goal. It is said the Moyes even considered asking goalkeeping coach Chris Woods to re-register as a player.
