Strasbourg midfielder Sidi Keita has revealed that Arsenal have an eye on him and may sign him this summer. The 20-year-old Mali midfielder said:
"I know that Arsenal are following me and want to take me next season."
"I would love to play in England for such a massive club."
Arsenal, Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers are chasing after Dider Agathe. Arsene Wenger is willing to offer Agathe a contract until the end of the season if he does well enough in trials within the next few days. However, Steve Bruce and Mark Hughes have offered him longer contracts in hope to lure him to their side. Agathe was not used at all by Celtic manager Gordon Strachan throughout the season and is a free agent after being released ny the Scottish club.
On the exit route from Highbury could be french star Robert Pires who has said that an Italian club is interested in his signature. After Valencia was to be his most likely destination this summer, it has appeared that AS Roma have becomes favourites to get Robert's signature. Pires wants a 2-year extension to his contract from Arsenal, but Arsenal are appearing to stand by their rule of now offering more than a 1-year contract to players above the age of 30. Pires is expected to make his decision in a fortnight.
