"It was the winter holiday and I was back in Togo having a kickabout with friends when my phone rang. One of the boys answered it and said, 'Manu, it's Arsene for you'. 'Arsene who?' I said. 'Arsene Wenger', he said. 'Get out of it', I said, and grabbed the phone off him. But then I heard the voice. 'Allo'. F*****g hell. It is Arsene Wenger!"

Transfer Talk: Arsenal Linked With Cesar And Pele... Race For Henry Heats Up

Rumours have surfaced that Arsenal are interested in Inter's second choice goalkeeper Julio Cesar while Arsenal have also been given the go-ahead to hold talks with Le Mans goalkeeper Yohann Pele.

Julio Cesar, who currently is contracted to Inter Milan is at risk of losing a possible chance of being Brazil's No.1 at the World Cup after he recently lost his spot in the starting lineup to Italian, Francesco Toldo. Although, a move on the player is highly unlikely, it is not out of the question.

Arsenal have been given the go-ahead by Le Mans coach Frederic Hantz to hold talks for a contract with their goalkeeper Yohann Pele. Hantz has warned Arsenal though that they are not the only club interested in the goalkeepers signature.
Frederic Hantz said: "We are aware of Arsenal but he is being watched by many clubs."

The race for Thierry henry's signature has heated up...again!

World Player Of The Year, Ronaldinho has joined the numerous Barcelona players and staff into 'tapping' up Henry through the media. The Brazilians remarks were: "If he arrives, it would be perfect because to have a player that has so much quality would thrill everyone."

Reports say that Real Madrid are prepared to make Henry their highest payed player if he joins their club. And in Real Madrid, thats a lot of money. It is said that Real Madrid are planning to make the club revolve around Henry, like what Arsenal have done. Unlike Barcelona, Real Madrid will be short on strikers as they are rumoured to be off-loading a lot of their players in the summer.
