"It was the winter holiday and I was back in Togo having a kickabout with friends when my phone rang. One of the boys answered it and said, 'Manu, it's Arsene for you'. 'Arsene who?' I said. 'Arsene Wenger', he said. 'Get out of it', I said, and grabbed the phone off him. But then I heard the voice. 'Allo'. F*****g hell. It is Arsene Wenger!"

Inter Not Helping Arsenal~Arsenal Not After Diop~King Hails Hleb~Lupoli Out

First off, Arturo Lupoli is out for the rest of the season with a hairline metatarsal fracture. His injury not only comes as a blow to Arsenal but also Brighton Albion, the club which were set to sign him on loan.

"Arturo Lupoli's misfortune is our bad luck after all our efforts to bring this top quality striker to the club," Knight told the Brighton Albion official website.

"Arsène Wenger and Liam Brady were willing to let him come on loan to Brighton and I'm very grateful to them."

Thierry[King] Henry has praised Alex Hleb for his recent performances at Arsenal. The Arsenal midfielder had a difficult start at Arsenal, not only finding difficulty fitting into his required position but also struggling to stay fit. Hleb though, never gave up, and has found his touch since returning from injury on the right side of midfield.

"What I like about him is he is always turning, going forwards, having a go at the left back. He is always willing to attack and, when you are a defender, that is a thing you hate." said Henry.

Arsenal have not been given any favors by Inter Milan in their attempt to sucure Thierry henry's future. Eventhough, Inter president Massimo Moratti was infact distancing Inetr from the suggestions that they would exploit Henry's supposedly low buy out clause, he had revealed that it was infact low.

"His buy-out clause is low. We wouldn't take advantage of this as it wouldn't be an honourable move. We don't do this between big clubs." Moratti told reporters.

Although, I admire Inter's ethics and morals, most big clubs would probably not do the same, chances are, quite a few clubs might attempt to exploit this clause.

Arsenal are NOT interested in Senegalese midfielder Papa Bouba Diop who currently plays for Fulham.

Bouba Diop's agent, Craig Hutchinson has confirmed that rumours of a renewal of Diop's contract with Fulham has stalled due to managerial restructure is false and that contract talks are progressing smoothly. He also said that Arsenal have not approached him regarding the 28-year-old.
