"It was the winter holiday and I was back in Togo having a kickabout with friends when my phone rang. One of the boys answered it and said, 'Manu, it's Arsene for you'. 'Arsene who?' I said. 'Arsene Wenger', he said. 'Get out of it', I said, and grabbed the phone off him. But then I heard the voice. 'Allo'. F*****g hell. It is Arsene Wenger!"

Nedved: Arsenal Will Have To Sweat

Pavel Nedved has warned Arsenal that Juventus will fight to the very last minute of the match against Arsenal and that Arsenal will be made to 'sweat'.

The midfielder missed the first leg with a suspension, but will be back for the second leg in Turin, 40,000 tickets have been sold to the match. 'I am ready for the return leg,' he said. 'I will give everything I have to help my team win, hoping that it will be sufficient.'

Juve will need to turn around a 2-0 deficit at Turin and they have to do sao without Vieira, Zebina and Camoranesi all of which are suspended. Nedved though believes that Juve's fighting qualities may just help them get past the Arsenal defensive wall that has not conceded a goal in 7 champions league outings, equalling AC Milan's record. 'Arsenal will have to sweat because Juve is a team that fights until the end,' Nedved continued. 'We believe that we can qualify and until we are eliminated we will not give up.'

Reports in Spain and England say that Robert Pires has agreed a 2-year contract with La Liga side Villarreal. Though, nothing has been said from either camp, it has been widely known that Pires' contract will end at the end of this season and Arsene Wenger has repeatedly stated that he will stick by Arsenal's policy of not offering contracts worth more than a year to players over the age of 30.

Sol Campbell has declared himself fit to play Juventus on Wednesday. He will hope to be in the starting lineup after it was confirmed that Manu Eboue is a 40/60 to play after picking up a groin injury. He was replaced in the 67th minute by Johan Djourou in the Villa game and Wenger doesnt rule out playing the 19-year-old instead of Campbell. If Campbell does play, it would mean that he will team up with Senderos in the middle of defence and Kolo Toure will move to right-back.
