Did Liverpool just 'do an Arsenal'?

Great match last night and for the first time in ages Liverpool played out an entertaining CL match and guess what, they lost proving that 'pretty football' is almost never fruitful. 2 goals from Inzaghi means Paolo Maldini lifts 'Big Ears' again despite Dirk Kuyt handing Liverpool a lifeline. This means Liverpool have just repeated what Arsenal did last season, putting all their efforts towards the CL only to fall at the last hurdle.

Anyway, now Liverpool fans will be feeling exactly the way Arsenal fans felt last season, except:

a) They can't use transition as an excuse.
b) They lost it with 11 men(compared to Arsenal's 10 for 70 minutes)
c) Even with 11 men, they only scored after Milan netted 2.
d) The referee refereed the game well, and knew when Eto'o players were offside.

Thats all...

UPDATE: Im not here to kick Pool fans when they're down, Im just still bitter over Paris!
